Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a strong, lightweight, versatile and inexpensive block-type air-filled cushioning material and a method for manufacturing this cushioning material. [Solution] A pair of opposing rectangular contact surface portions (11) are provided, which form surfaces that come into contact with the object to be cushioned. A block-shaped pouch (10) is formed by side surface portions (12) provided continuously with the peripheral side surfaces of the contact surface portions (11). A gusset portion (13) is formed in each of the side surface portions (12). A bridge (15) is provided inside the pouch (10) which connects the contact surface portions (11) to each other. This bridge (15) is constructed to restrict the bulging of the contact surface portions (11) with respect to each other.
