Abstract:
Provided are a bodily fluid treatment material capable of reliably allowing a bodily fluid to flow into a containment body and also capable of preventing the backflow of the bodily fluid, and a wearing article including the bodily fluid treatment material. A containment body (10) of a bodily fluid treatment material (1) has first and second sheets (12, 13) joined together at the peripheries thereof into a bag-like shape. An opening (11) is formed in the first sheet (12) so as to penetrate therethrough in the thickness direction thereof. A backflow prevention means (20) includes a flat plate-like valve body (30) located at the first sheet (12) on the inner side of the containment body (10), a sheet-like support body (40) for preventing the valve body (30) from dropping into the inside of the containment body (10), and a spacer (50) provided between the first sheet (12) and the support body (40). The peripheral edge of the valve body upper surface (31) is adapted to be able to make watertight contact with a valve seat section (14) formed by a peripheral edge of the opening (11), said peripheral edge being that which is located on the inner side of the containment body (10). A space is formed between the first sheet (12) and the support body (40) by a spacer opening (53), and the valve body (30) is supported so as to be movable in the thickness direction of the spacer (50).
