Abstract:
A body cavity insertable ultrasound apparatus comprises: a handpiece; a rod-shaped support extending from the handpiece; a housing coupled to the support; an ultrasound probe including an ultrasound transducer fixed to the housing; and a structure for circulation of an ultrasound transmission medium, configured such that the ultrasound transmission medium filled in an ultrasound transmission space formed in front of the ultrasound transducer can be discharged to the outside and reintroduced to the ultrasound transmission space. The housing and the ultrasound transducer are configured to prevent the ultrasound transmission medium filled in the ultrasound transmission space from entering a space at the rear of the ultrasound transducer.
