Abstract:
Provided is a body frame for a two-wheeled motor vehicle, the body frame comprising: a head pipe which supports steering handle bars in a steerable manner; and a main frame which integrally has a down frame section joined to the head pipe so as to extend rearward and downward from the head pipe and which is formed as a separate member from the head pipe. The down frame section (12a) is provided with a mounting surface (31) which extends left and right in the vehicle width direction, faces upward, and enables the head pipe (11) to be mounted and positioned thereon in a non-joined state. This configuration enables the head pipe and the main frame to be joined while parts are mounted in the head pipe and the main frame, and also enables the head pipe and the main frame to be positioned easily when joining the head pipe and the main frame, thereby facilitating the joining work.
