Abstract:
The invention relates to a book-like document, in particular an identification document, having a binding (12), which consists of a book front cover (13) and a book back cover (14), having one or more data pages (19) and/or having a personalization data page (21) and having a transponder (28) which is arranged in the binding (12) or the perzonalisation data page (21) and comprises an antenna (31) and an IC chip (32), wherein the book front cover (13) and the book back cover (14) each have at least one closure element (34, 37), by which the book front cover (13) and book back cover (14) are held in a closed arrangement (35) after the use of the book-like document (11), wherein a sensor (33) is provided which is contacted with the transponder module (28) and activates and deactivates the transponder module (28), and wherein the closure elements (34, 37) in the closed arrangement (35) of the book front cover (13) and the book back cover (14) set the sensor (33) into a switching state which deactivates the transponder module (28). The invention further relates to a method for securing data against unwanted readout from such a book-like document.
