Provided is a method for producing bottom clothes with good wear comfort and a great effect of turning a leg part. The bottom clothes production method according to the present invention is a method for producing bottom clothes which comprise a body cloth including elastic yarn, and an inner cloth including elastic yarn, wherein the inner cloth overlaps the inner side of the body cloth, a front end part of the inner cloth is bonded to the body cloth on the front side of the bottom clothes, a rear end part of the inner cloth is bonded to the body cloth on the back side of the bottom clothes, and at least a part of the inner cloth is not bonded to the body cloth. The bottom clothes production method is characterized in that the length between the lowest points of the portions to which the front and rear end parts of the inner cloth are bonded before bonding is 70.0% or more and less than 100% of the length between the lowest points of the portions to which the front and rear end parts of the inner cloth are bonded after bonding, or the area of the inner cloth before bonding is 70.0% or more and less than 100% of the area of the inner cloth after bonding.
