Abstract:
A bra cup (104a, 104b) for a brassiere (100) to be worn by a wearer is disclosed. The bra cup (104a, 104b) comprises a core layer (200) formed of a foam material and having a three-dimensional configuration so as to conform to a breast of the wearer when the brassiere (100) is worn. The core layer (200) has an inner side (200a) and an outer side (200b), and multiple regions including a lateral region (208) to which a side-wing of the brassiere (100) is attached. The bra cup (104a, 104b) also comprises a protrusion (214) formed in the lateral region (208) of the core layer (200). The formed protrusion (214) in the lateral region (208) has a relatively higher density of the foam material as compared to density of the foam material in other of the multiple regions of the core layer (200).
