Abstract:
Provided are: a brake apparatus that is capable of suppressing resetting of a control device at the time of starting an engine and suppressing power consumption of an auxiliary power source; and a vehicle in which the brake apparatus is installed. A brake apparatus 1 is provided with: an electric motor 3 that outputs a braking force in response to a braking request signal; and a control device 18 that controls the electric motor 3. The control device 18 receives power supplied from both a main power source 5 and an auxiliary power source 10. The electric motor 3 has: a first state in which the power supplied from the main power source 5 is received when the voltage V1 of the main power source 5 is equal to or higher than a threshold Va; a second state in which the power supplied from the auxiliary power source 10 is received when a starter motor 16 is not driven, and the voltage V1 of the main power source 5 is lower than the threshold Va; and a third state in which the power supplied from the main power source 5 is received when the starter motor 16 is driven, and the voltage V1 of the main power source 5 is lower than the threshold Va.
