Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to provide a brake control device and a brake system with which a braking can be performed with a shortened braking response when a transition is made from non-braking to braking. A brake control device 10 is provided with a command value calculation unit 4 that calculates an action command value whereby pressing force exerted by a brake pad 11a on a brake disc 11b reaches a target thrust value. The command value calculation unit 4 has a clearance command calculation unit 43 that calculates a command value needed until a brake pad 11a and a brake disc 11b come into contact, and a thrust command calculation unit 40 that calculates a command value needed for a target thrust to be achieved from a state in which the brake pad 11a and the brake disc 11b are in contact. When an action command value is calculated from a state in which the brake pad 11a and the brake disc 11b are separated, the command value calculation unit 4 calculates an action command value by integrating a command value computed from the clearance command calculation unit 43 and a command value computed from the thrust command calculation unit 40.
