Abstract:
A brake device for an elevator hoist is provided with: an axially movable rod (1); pistons (2, 3) provided on the rod (1) so as to be arranged side by side in the axial direction; cylinders (7, 8) having pistons (2, 3) received therein and having pressure control chambers (20, 30) formed between the cylinders (7, 8) and the pistons (2, 3); a lining (5) provided to the rod (1) and capable of coming into contact with a contact receiving body (100); and a spring device (6) for pressing the pistons (2, 3) in the direction in which the lining (5) is pressed against the contact receiving body (100). Gaps are formed between the rod (1) and one of the pistons (2, 3) and between the adjacent pistons (2, 3), and the pistons (2, 3) are driven by a change in air pressure in the pressure control chambers (20, 30).
