Abstract:
A brake device (1) for an elevator is provided with: a brake shoe (3) mounted facing a rotating drum (11) which is an object to be braked; a housing (5) for supporting the torque of the rotating drum (11), which is applied to the brake shoe (3); and a first guide member (7) disposed between the brake shoe (3) and a first end section (21) of the housing (5) and supported only by one of the brake shoe (3) and the first end section (21). The gap between the first guide member (7) and the other of the brake shoe (3) and the first end section (21) is adjustable.
