Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a brake device (9) for an elevator (1), wherein bushes (5, 6) are not easily biased and worn. A plunger (18) moves to a lower position in the axial direction thereof, thereby releasing the raising and lowering of a car (4). The plunger (18) moves to an upper position in the axial direction when braking the raising and lowering of the car (4). The bushes (5, 6) guide the movement of the plunger (18) in the axial direction. A rotating mechanism (24) causes the plunger (18) to rotate in the forward direction when the plunger (18) moves between the lower position and the upper position.
