Abstract:
A brake release device for an elevator according to the present invention releases a plurality of electromagnetic brakes of an elevator hoist, and is provided with: a lever which mechanically releases a first electromagnetic brake, i.e. one electromagnetic brake among the plurality of electromagnetic brakes 3; a power supply which is capable of supplying, to a second electromagnetic brake other than the first electromagnetic brake among the plurality of electromagnetic brakes, power for electrically releasing the second electromagnetic brake; and an electric switch which is capable causing the power to be supplied from the power supply to the second electromagnetic brake.
