Abstract:
A breaker 1 comprises: a fixed piece 2 having a fixed contact 21; a movable piece 4 having a movable contact 41, the movable piece 4 pressing the movable contact 41 to the fixed contact 21 to make contact; a thermally actuated element 5 that deforms with variations in temperature, whereby the movable piece 4 is caused to transition from a conduction state in which the movable contact 41 contacts the fixed contact 21 to an interruption state in which the movable contact 41 is separated from the fixed contact 21; and a case 10 that accommodates the fixed piece 2, the movable piece 4, and the thermally actuated element 5. The case 10 includes a resin material and a fill material filling the resin material, and the surface roughness Rz of the fixed contact 21, pursuant to JIS B0601, is greater than the short-direction length of the fill material.
