Abstract:
A bridge stay cable fire protection system that is easy to construct on-site and a construction method therefor, the protection system comprising a stay cable (1) and a HDPE protective sleeve (2) that is wrapped on the outer side of the stay cable (1). The protection system further comprises a fireproof layer (3) and a sealing layer (4). The HDPE protective sleeve (2) is sleeved on the outer side of the stay cable (1), and a basalt fiber cloth strip (31) is wound from bottom to top by using a spiral winding means on the outer side of the HDPE protective sleeve (2) to form the fireproof layer (3); a glue is applied on the outer side of the fireproof layer (3) at the lowermost end of the stay cable (1), and then a sealing sleeve (41) is sleeved thereon, and basalt mesh cloths (411) at the innermost layer of the sealing sleeve (41) are bonded and fixed to the fireproof layer (3); basalt mesh cloths (411) corresponding to the edges of two sides of each sealing sleeve (41) abut against one another, and stepped staggered layers are bonded and fixed; and the sealing sleeves (41) are continuously connected from bottom to top according to the described method, the basalt mesh clothes (411) corresponding to upper and lower edges of two vertically adjacent sealing sleeves (41) abut against one another, and the stepped staggered layers are bonded and fixed to form the sealing layer (4). The system is easy to construct on-site, and can effectively isolate the temperature of an external flame and prevent a stay cable from being damaged by high temperatures.
