Abstract:
Optical enhancement and diffuser panels (2600,2700) are provided for liquid crystal modules (1720) integrated in electronic devices. The enhancement and diffuser panels (2600,2700) can be for backlight enhancement and diffusing in electronic devices having an integrated optical sensor (1760). The enhancement and diffuser panels (2600,2700) include film layers (2620,2660,2720,2760) that refract and diffuse light passing through in one direction, for example, toward a display panel, while providing clear viewing windows (2655) for light passing through in the opposite direction, for example, toward an under-display optical sensor (1760). The film layers (2620,2660) can provide backlight enhancement and diffusing, without blurring reflected probe light used for optical sensing.
