Abstract:
A composition containing a quinone represented by general formula (I) as the active ingredient is administered to broilers to effectively prevent ascites thereof and to improve the rate of raising thereof. In said formula Y and Z represent each H or CH3, or are combined together to represent a single bond to thereby form a double bond between C1 and C2; and n represents an integer of 1 to 11.
