Abstract:
The present invention relates to a butt joint structure of a hard metal for a micro cutting tool and a blank material and a method thereof. More specifically, a micro cutting tool is provided wherein a shank material is formed with a first joint hole and a second joint hole in the section of one side for inserting a blank material formed with a joint protrusion section therein so that the blank material is inserted therein without exposure and fixed by butt joint. In addition, a blank material which can produce a micro drill by machining the shank material and the blank material at a time is provided. According to the present invention, a shank material (20) is formed of any one of S45c and S55c carbon steel/SK and SKS tool steel/SKT and SKD dies steel/SKH and HSS high speed steel/SUS stainless steel/metal powder extrusion shank steel/liquid metal materials. The shank material (20) which has a diameter of 4mm, a length of 33mm, and chamfered corners (C) is machined to form a material-inserting first joint hole (21) in the center of one side surface of a cut surface thereof and a second joint hole (2) is formed in the center of the material-inserting first joint hole (21). A blank material (30) is formed with a joint protrusion section (31) and fixed to one side of the material-inserting first joint hole (21) by welding. In the welding method, the blank material (30) is coated with flux and silver alloy powder and inserted into the material-inserting first joint hole (21). After that, the blank material (30) is heated at a predetermined welding temperature to be molten using high frequency electrical electrodes outside. The portion protruded outside from the blank material (30) is precisely inserted so as to be fixed by welding while the blank material (30) is being molten. The outer diameters of the shank material (20) and the blank material (30) are machined so that the shank material (20) and the blank material (30) are formed to have a diameter of 3.175mm and a length of 38mm.
