Abstract:
The present invention relates to a butterfly-type gate valve capable of shortening an opening/closing time and reducing in size through two opening/closing members in the form of semicircular discs folding or unfolding to allow for adjustment of the degree of opening of a valve flow path and enable opening/closing of the valve flow path. The butterfly-type gate valve according to the present invention comprises: a valve body having a flow path in which an inlet for introducing a fluid and an outlet for discharging the fluid are formed in a front portion and a rear portion, respectively; a first opening/closing member and a second opening/closing member in the form of semi-circular discs that open or close the flow path by being folded or unfolded while rotating in opposite directions inside the flow path of the valve body; and a driving means which transmits a rotational force to the first opening/closing member and the second opening/closing member.
