Abstract:
In one example, an electrical cable connector has a mounting end that attaches to at least one cable, and a mating end that mates with a complementary connector. The connector has a housing, and a plurality of electrical contacts supported by the housing. The plurality of electrical contacts are arranged in at least first and second rows. Each row has a plurality of pairs of signal contacts that are spaced from one another along a lateral direction, and at least one ground contact disposed between individual pairs of the signal contacts. The signal contacts in each pair are spaced from another by a distance of 0.68 mm ± 0.05 mm, the pairs of signal contacts are spaced from one another by a distance of 2.90 mm ± 0.05 mm, and the first and second rows are spaced from one another by a distance of 3.15 mm ± 0.05 mm.
