Abstract:
This cable-like reader/writer antenna comprises: a cable-like main body portion including an inner conductor one end of which is connected to a power supply portion and which extends from said one end to another end, and an outer conductor which extends from one end to another end along the inner conductor; at said other end of the cable-like main body portion, a matching circuit portion which connects said other end of the inner conductor to said other end of the outer conductor, and which is used to match the impedance of the inner conductor to the impedance of the outer conductor; and a magnetic body portion which is provided on the power supply portion side of the cable-like main body portion, remote from said other end thereof, and is provided along the outer conductor; wherein, when seen in a plan view the cable-like main body portion has a wound construction including a forward direction wound region which is wound in a loop shape having at least one complete loop in a prescribed direction toward the outside, with the matching circuit portion as a starting point, and a reverse direction wound region wound in a reverse direction, toward the outside from the outermost part of the forward direction wound region.
