Abstract:
A metallic cable 30a is mainly composed of a plurality of covered conducting wires 31, a press winding tape 37, a laminate tape 1, an outer cover17, etc., in that order from the inside outward. The outer cover 17 is provided on the outer circumference of the laminate tape 1. The outer cover 17 is provided to cover the outer circumference of the laminate tape 1. The outer cover 17 is made of polyethylene having a density (930 kg/m3 or greater) greater than or equal to that of a medium density polyethylene, and more preferably made of a high density polyethylene (942 kg/m3 or greater). When the outer cover 17 is formed using a polyethylene having the density of a medium density polyethylene (MDPE) or greater, the temperature appropriate for extruding MDPE and the bonding temperature range of a resin layer 5 are close to each other, the resin layer 5 and a metal layer 3 can be bonded using a wrap part 23, and a cable core 25 can be sealed.
