Abstract:
Disclosed are a calcium-based catalyst and a method for catalytically synthesizing an alkanolamide surfactant thereby, which belong to the technical field of surfactant synthesis. The present invention prepares a compounded calcium-based catalyst. The calcium-based catalyst is used for catalyzing the reaction of grease or a fatty ester and an alkanol amine amine to synthesize an alkanolamide surfactant having low color and low free alkanolamine, and facilitates use in household chemicals. The calcium-based catalyst of the present invention has the characteristic of slow release, and can maintain high catalytic reaction activity during the later stage of reactions, ensuring the conversion of an alkanol amine amine into an alkanolamine surfactant with a high conversion rate. The alkanol amine has a high conversion rate, and the residual amount of the alkanol amine in the product is low, thereby greatly reducing the risk of nitrosamines caused by the nitrosamines residue in the product. At the same time, the rate during the early stage of the reaction is greatly reduced under the control of slow release of the catalyst, thereby effectively avoiding the product darkening caused by poor heat transfer during the synthesis due to the early reaction being too fast.
