Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a calcium carbonate sintered body, whereby it becomes possible to produce a satisfactory sintered body without the need to use a sintering aid. The method is characterized by comprising the steps of: compression-molding calcium carbonate to produce a molded article; heating the molded article under the condition having a temperature of 500°C or lower to remove organic components contained in the molded article; and sintering the molded article under the conditions having a carbon dioxide gas atmosphere and a temperature of 450°C or higher to produce a calcium carbonate sintered body.
