Abstract:
This ε-caprolactam production method involves a step in which cyclohexanone oxime is subjected to a Beckmann rearrangement reaction in gas phase in the presence of a zeolite catalyst containing the element silicon and at least one element selected from a group consisting of alkaline earth metal elements and the element magnesium, wherein the concentration of the aforementioned elements in the zeolite catalyst is 3 to 10000 ppm.
