[0037] The corrosion inhibition system 30 can include an attachable structure that can be permanently or removably affixed to or formed integrally with the first and/or second body portions 10, 20 in the case 1. According to a non-limiting embodiment, the corrosion inhibition system can include first and second pads 30 that are installable (or installed) or attachable (or attached) to the first and second body portions 10, 20 of the case 1. In this embodiment, one or both pads 30 (or 31) can be made of a foam material that is configured, when installed in the case 1, to securely hold an article in the case 1 and keep it from moving such as during transport. Also, the corrosion inhibition inserts 40 can be made of the same (or different) foam material as the pad(s) 30 (or 31). The corrosion inhibition inserts 40 can be configured to be seamlessly installed in the receptacles 35 in the pad(s) 30, as seen in FIG. 1.

[0038] The corrosion inhibition system can include a liner pad 31(shown in FIG. 3), which can be infused or infusible with a VCI compound. For example, the liner pad 31 can be positioned between an inner wall of the first or second body portion 10, 20 and a pad 30.

[0039] FIG. 2 shows another embodiment of a storage solution comprising a case 1 with a corrosion inhibition system 30. In this example, the pad(s) 30 include receptacles 35 that have oval shapes. Each receptacle 35 can receive a corrosion inhibition insert 40 (e.g., shown in FIG. 1). Preferably, the corrosion inhibition inserts 40 have a shape that matches the shape of the receiving receptacle 35, which in this example is an oval. The width or height of the corrosion inhibition inserts 40 can be configured to have the same width or height as an associated receptacle 35 in the pad 30.

[0040] The receptacles 35 can have different shapes, sizes, or materials from each other. [0041] The corrosion inhibition inserts 40 can have different shapes, sizes, or materials from each other.

[0042] In a non-limiting embodiment of the corrosion inhibition system, the first body portion 10 (e.g., top part of the case 1) and/or the second body portion 20 (e.g., the bottom or base of the case 1) can be infused with the VCI compound that can emit VCI molecules. For example, one or more inner walls of the top part and/or base part case can be infused with the VCI compound to emit VCI molecules into the cavity or chamber formed in the case 1.

[0043] FIG. 3 shows examples of a plurality of pads 30, 31, any of which can be included in the corrosion inhibition system. As seen, the pad 30 can include a three-dimensional structure, which can include a planar structure having a plurality of receptacles 35 formed uniformly across the entire or nearly the entire area of the structure.

[0044] The liner pad 31 can include a three-dimensional structure, which can include a planar structure. The liner pad 31 can have a liner thickness, such as, for example, less than 0.5cm, 0.5 cm, 1cm, or more than 1cm, and the liner pad 31 can be designed to attach to an inner wall of the first or second body portion 10, 20 in the case 1. The liner pad 31 can have any other thickness that might suitable for the intended application or purpose for the storage solution, including the case 1. For example, the liner pad 31 can have a liner thickness, such as, for example, 5cm, 10cm, or more, where the liner pad 31 is intended to contact and form around the shape of article held in the case 1, thereby preventing the article from moving, for example, during transport while simultaneously protecting the article against damage.

[0045] FIG. 4 shows an enlarged view of a portion of the pad 30 that can be included in the corrosion inhibition system. As seen in FIG. 4, the pad 30 can include a receptacle 35 that has a different size from the other receptacles 35.
