Claims:
CLAIMS

1. The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, which has a special aspect comprising of a frame (1 ), a container (2) which is set on the upper frame (1 ) for contained cassava tubers, a discharge pipe for cassava chips (3), a receiver and a cassava tuber cutting part (4) setting under the container (2), which consists of the housing (5), a centrifugal tank (15), the cutting blade sets (21 ) and the shearing blade sets (28). The blade can cut cassava tubers into lines and square bars, long or short, large or small and thick or thin as needed.

The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 1 , in which the housing (5), comprising of a base (6), an annular part (7), some fixed columns (8), which hold the base (6) and the annular part (7), a base support for the cutting blade set (9), the fixed screws of the cutting blade (10), a base support for the cutting adjustable plate ( 1 1 ), the sockets for the pins of the cutting adjustable plate (12), the pins of the cutting adjustable plate (13) and the base support for the shearing blade set ( 14).

3. The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 1 , in which the centrifugal tank ( 15) comprising of a base ( 16), an annular part ( 17), a bottom reversed cone ( 18) and some paddles ( 19), which mounts the base ( 16) and annular part ( 17).

4. The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 3, in which some paddles (19) which slightly incline with the center line of centrifugal tank ( 15) to force the cassava tubers toward the cutting blade sets (21 ) and shearing blade sets (28).

5. The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 4, in which two or more of the paddles ( 19) are oriented along the radius line of the centrifugal tank (15).

6.The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 1 , in which the cutting blade sets (21 ) and the shearing blade sets (28) have one cutting blade set and one shearing blade set which is mounted into the housing (5).

7.The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 1 , in which the cutting blade sets (21 ) and the shearing blade set (28) have two or more of the cutting blade sets and the shearing blade sets which are oriented within the circumference of the housing (5).

8. The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 1 , in which the discharge pipe of cassava chips (3) have a number which matches the cutting blade set (21) and the shearing blade set (28).

The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 1 , in which the cutting blade set (21) which can adjust the cutting pitch (22) comprising of some cutting blades (24) some shims (25) and a hollow for inserting the blades (27) which each cutting blade (24) is alternatively laid with a shim (25). At least one shim in aspect can define the pitch of the cutting blades (24). The blade and the shim are alternately laid in the hollow body

lO.The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 7, in which the shims (25) have different thicknesses depending on the required cassava chips size.

1 1.The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 1 , in which the cutting blade set (21 ) is the constant cutting pitch of the blades (23) comprising of some cutting blades (24) and mounted blades (26) which each of the cutting blades (24) are set to the mounted blades or built-in with the mounted blades (26) and can define the pitch of each cutting blades (24).

12. The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 1 , in which the shearing blade set (28) is perpendicularly oriented to the cutting blade set (21 ).

13. The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 1 , in which the shearing blade set (28) comprising of a clamping plate of the shearing blade (29), the shearing blade (30), and set of studs and bolts (33).

The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 12, in which the clamping plate of the shearing blade (29) and the shearing blade (30) are mounted to the support base of the shearing blade ( 14) using a set of studs and bolts (33). They are mounted through the adjustable slots (32) at the shearing blade (30) and through the adjustable slots (31 ) at the clamping plate of the shearing blade (29) that can adjust the shearing pitch of the shearing blade set (28).

15.The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to the claim mentioned above which comprises of the cutting adjustable plate (34) for adjusting the cutting pitch of the blade set (21) and for adjusting the shearing pitch of the shearing blade set

16. The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 14, in which the cutting adjustable plates (34) have some slots (35) and the studs (36) are mounted to the base support of cutting adjustable plate (1 1) with bolts (37).

17. The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 14, in which the cutting adjustable plates (34) and the studs (36) are mounted to the base support of the cutting adjustable plate (1 1) with bolts (37) and without slots (35).

18. The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to the claim in 14 or 15 or 16, in which the cutting adjustable plate (34) is mounted to the pins of the cutting adjustable plate (13).

19. The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system, according to claim 1 , which comprises of a drive set (38) and also consists of a drive shaft (39) which is mounted to the centrifugal tank (15) with screws (20) and a pulley (40) by a power source using a motor or engine (41 ) which transmits the power to the drive shaft by the passing belt (42) to drive the centrifugal tank (15).

The cassava cutting machine a centrifugal force with two blade system is comprised of a frame (1), a container (2) which is mounted at upper area of a frame (1 ) for containing cassava tubers, a discharge pipe for cassava chips (3), a receiver and a cassava tuber cutting part (4) mounted under the container (2), which consists of a housing (5), a centrifugal device (15), a cutting blade sets (21) and a shearing blade sets (28) that is able to cut cassava tubers into different shapes and sizes such as lines and square bars, long or short, large or small and thick or thin on demand .

The centrifugal device (15) is comprised of a base (16), an annular part (17), a bottom reversed cone (18) and a plurality of paddles (19), which mounted on the base (16) and annular part (17).

2. The cassava cutting machine a centrifugal force with two blade system according to claim 1 wherein the housing (5) is consisted of a base (6), an annular part (7), a plurality of fixed columns (8), which held the base (6) and the annular part (7), a base support for the cutting blade set (9), the fixed screws of the cutting blade (10), a base support for the cutting pitch adjustable plate ( 1 1), the holes for the pins of the cutting pitch adjustable plate (12), the pins of the cutting pitch adjustable plate (13) and the base support for the shearing blade set (14).

3. The cassava cutting machine a centrifugal force with two blade system according to claim 1 wherein a plurality of paddles (19) slightly incline with the center line of centrifugal device (15) to force the cassava tubers toward the cutting blade sets (21 ) and shearing blade sets (28).

4. The cassava cutting machine a centrifugal force with two blade system according to claim 1 where there are at least two paddles (19) are oriented along the radius line of the centrifugal device (15).

5. The cassava cutting machine a centrifugal force with two blade system according to claim 1 wherein

- The cutting blade sets (21 ) and the shearing blade sets (28) contain one cutting blade set and one shearing blade set which is mounted into the housing (5). or

- The cutting blade sets (21 ) and the shearing blade sets (28) contain at least two cutting blade sets and the shearing blade sets which are mounted within the circumference of the housing (5). and

- The discharge pipe of cassava chips (3) contains a number which matches the cutting blade set (21 ) and the shearing blade set (28).

6. The cassava cutting machine a centrifugal force with two blade system according to claim 1 wherein the cutting blade set (21 ) is able to adjust the cutting pitch (22). It is comprised a plurality of cutting blades (24), a plurality of shims (25) and a hollow for inserting the blades (27). Each cutting blade (24) is alternatively laid with a shim (25). At least one shim in aspect can define the pitch of the cutting blades (24). The blade and the shim are alternately laid in the hollow body (27).

It is generally observed that the cutting blades (24) are similar to letter T shape that has base combining with blade as one part. In addition, shims (25) are also similar to letter T shape.

7. The cassava cutting machine a centrifugal force with two blade system according to claim 6 where there are different thicknesses of shims (25) depending on the required size of cassava chips.

8. The cassava cutting machine a centrifugal force with two blade system according to claim 1 wherein the cutting blade set (21 ) is the constant cutting pitch of the blades (23). It is consisted of a plurality of cutting blades (24) and support (26) which the shape is similar to letter T. Each of the cutting blades (24) is mounted with the support or built-in with the support (26) that can define the pitch of each cutting blades (24).

9. The cassava cutting machine a centrifugal force with two blade system according to claim 1 wherein

- The shearing blade set (28) is perpendicularly oriented to the cutting blade set (21 ).

- The shearing blade set (28) is comprised of a clamping plate of the shearing blade (29), the shearing blade (30), and sets of bolt and nut (33).

- The clamping plate of the shearing blade (29) and the shearing blade (30) are mounted to the base support of the shearing blade (14) using a sets of bolt and nut (33). They are "mounted through the adjustable slots (32) at the shearing blade (30) and through the adjustable slots (31 ) at the clamping plate of the shearing blade (29) that can adjust the shearing pitch of the shearing blade set (28).

10. The cassava cutting machine a centrifugal force with two blade system according to anyone of preceding the claims, wherein said that it is comprised of the cutting pitch adjustable plate (34) for adjusting the cutting pitch of the blade set (21 ) and for adjusting the shearing pitch of the shearing blade set (28).

1 1. The cassava cutting machine a centrifugal force with two blade system according to claim 10 wherein the cutting pitch adjustable plate (34) contains a plurality of slots (35) and the studs (36) are mounted to the base support of cutting pitch adjustable plate (1 1 ) with nut (37).

12. The cassava cutting machine a centrifugal force with two blade system according to claim 10 wherein the cutting pitch adjustable plate (34) and the studs (36) are mounted to the base support of the cutting pitch adjustable plate (1 1 ) with nut (37) without slots (35).

13. The cassava cutting machine a centrifugal force with two blade system according to the claim in 10 or 1 1 or 12 wherein the cutting pitch adjustable plate (34) is mounted to the pin of the cutting pitch adjustable plate (13).

14. The cassava cutting machine a centrifugal force with two blade system according to anyone of preceding the claims, wherein said that it is comprised of a drive set (38) and also consisted of a drive shaft (39) which is mounted to the centrifugal device (15) with screws (20) and a pulley (40) by a power source using a motor or engine (41 ) which transmits the power to the drive shaft via the belts (42) to drive the centrifugal device ( 15).

TITLE OF INVENTION

THE CASSAVA CUTTING MACHINE WITH A CENTRIFUGAL FORCE TWO BLADE SYSTEM TECHNICAL FIELD

The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system relates to engineering.

BACKGROUND ART

The cassava cutting machine is used to reduce the size of the cassava instead of cutting or chopping by hand. They are made in small sizes before being reduced by the humidity process with the sun or dryer. The cutting of cassava tubers by hand obtains long pieces of cassava. However cutting cassavas by hand is laborious and wastes time the poor performance of cutting by hand results in different sizes due to the lack of skilled labor. Therefore, the inventors attempt to develop a cassava cutting machine instead of being chopped by hand is extremely useful.

The conventional cassava cutting machine is a rotary disk which has a drilled hole and the disk is formed to cut or slash the cassava. The machine was then developed by setting the blade on the rotary disk to make the cassava chip. Yongsuwat Agritrade Company (Petty patent 8205) developed the cassava cutting machine with the blade on the rotary disk. The machine was built by welding many parts. The wheels and a machine support base are fixed under the welding frame. The upper part is the feed tank that has sieve. The center part is a cray and a blade set which consists of a disk and a blade set which the knife edge is offset one side of the disk. The blade set is rotated with the pulley belt driven by a motor or engine. The cassavas are dumped into the feed tank and they are moved with gravity force through the filter sieve before moving to the slice blade set. Finally they are controlled to drop in front of the machine by the cover plate and the tray. Virat Whangkuanklang (Khon Kaen University's master thesis, 2547) studied the reciprocating* blade sheer for making cassava chips for mixed cattle feeds. The main principle of the cassava cutting blade of this machine is the impact and shearing on the cassava tubers by the reciprocating blade sheer. Moreover, the inventors made the cutting cassava machine using a circulated blade type for slicing or cutting cassavas in order to size and shape as defined with the blade. It operates two blade sets continuously which the first set is for making cassava chips and the second set is for cutting cassavas at an optimal angle. This results in optimal sizes for mixed cattle feeds. The study of the cutting cassava machine as mentioned above has not yet found that it can reduce the size of cassava into a line or square shape with an adjustable long or short size, large or small size and thickness or thin size.

DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION

The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system in this work was invented with the applied principles used in an apparatus for cutting potatoes or similar vegetables (EP 2 026 936 Bl ). The inventor develops this novel invention that can perform the objective which is used for cutting cassava tubers into a line or square bar as long or short, large or small and thickness or thin on requirement. It can increase the machine size and quantity of blade sets following production capacities on requirement.

This invention's aim is to develop the cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system for better performance, higher added value of the product, better production capacities, and reduced cost to help the agriculturist and the production department of the cassava industry.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING

Figure 1 is the cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system for this invention.

Figure 2 is the receiver and the cassava tuber cutting part of the cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system for this invention.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIME TS

Figures 1 , 2, 3, and 4 show the cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system for this invention. The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system for this invention, as shown in figure 1 , 2, 3, and 4, consist of:

a frame (1 ), a container (2) which is set on the upper frame ( 1 ) for contained cassava tubers, a discharge pipe for cassava chips (3), a receiver and a cassava tuber cutting part (4) setting under the container (2). Which consists of the housing (5), a centrifugal tank (15), the cutting blade sets (21 ) and the shearing blade sets (28).

The special aspect are the cutting blade sets (21 ) and the shearing blade sets (28) that can cut cassava tubers into lines and square bars, long or short, large or small and thick or thin as needed.

Following this invention, the housing (5) consists of a base (6), an annular part (7), some fixed columns (8), which hold the base (6) and the annular part (7) ), a base support for the cutting blade set (9), the fixed screws of the cutting blade (10), a base support for the cutting adjustable plate (1 1 ), the sockets for the pins of the cutting adjustable plate ( 12), the pins of the cutting adjustable plate (13), and the base support for the shearing blade set (14).

Following this invention, the centrifugal tank (1 5) consists of a base ( 1 6), an annular part ( 1 7), a bottom reversed cone ( 1 8), and some paddles ( 19), which mounts the base (16) and annular part (17).

Following this invention, some paddles (19) which slightly incline with the center line of centrifugal tank ( 15) to force the cassava tubers toward the cutting blade sets (21 ) and shearing blade sets (28), which is good for the cassava transport. Cassava tubers can consistently move to the two blade sets and this process can control whether the cassava pieces are to be long or short in size. Therefore the cutting of cassavas have both quality and quantity as required.

Following this invention, two or more of the paddles ( 1 ) are oriented along the radius line of the centrifugal tank ( 15).

Following this invention, the cutting blade sets (21 ) and the shearing blade sets (28) have one cutting blade set and one shearing blade set which is mounted into the housing (5).

Following this invention, the cutting blade sets (21 ) and the shearing blade set (28) have two or more of the cutting blade sets and the shearing blade sets which are oriented within the circumference of the housing (5). Following this invention, the discharge pipe of cassava chips (3) have a number which matches the cutting blade set (21) and the shearing blade set (28).

Following this invention, the cutting blade set (21) which can adjust the cutting pitch (22) comprising of some cutting blades (24) some shims (25) and a hollow for inserting the blades (27) which each cutting blade (24) is alternatively laid with a shim (25). At least one shim in aspect can define the pitch of the cutting blades (24). The blade and the shim are alternately laid in the hollow body (27). This is good for the final product that has the consistent thickness of lines and square bars which is similar to handmade product and can cause it to be valued at a higher price.

Following this invention, the shims (25) have different thicknesses depending on the required cassava chips size for various industries.

Following this invention, the cutting blade set (21 ) is the constant cutting pitch of the blades (23) comprising of some cutting blades (24) and mounted blades (26) which each of the cutting blades (24) are set to the mounted blades or built-in with the mounted blades (26) and can define the pitch of each cutting blades (24).

Following this invention, the shearing blade set (28) is perpendicularly oriented to the cutting blade set (21 ).

Following this invention, the shearing blade set (28) comprising of a clamping plate of the shearing blade (29), the shearing blade (30), and set of studs and bolts (33).

Following this invention, the clamping plate of the shearing blade (29) and the shearing blade (30) are mounted to the support base of the shearing blade (14) using a set of studs and bolts (33). They are mounted through the adjustable slots (32) at the shearing blade (30) and through the adjustable slots (31 ) at the clamping plate of the shearing blade (29) that can adjust the shearing pitch of the shearing blade set (28). These blades can be replaced or sharpened.

Furthermore, the cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system for the invention comprises of the cutting adjustable plate (34) for adjusting the cutting pitch of the blade set (21 ) and adjusting the shearing pitch of the shearing blade set (28).

Following this invention, the cutting adjustable plates (34) have some slots (35) and the studs (36) are mounted to the base support of the cutting adjustable plate ( 1 1 ) with bolts (37). Following this invention, the cutting adjustable plates (34) and the studs (36) are mounted to the base support of cutting adjustable plate (1 1) with bolts (37) and without slots (35). This part can control cassava size.

Following this invention, the cutting adjustable plate (34) is mounted to the pins of the cutting adjustable plate (13).

In addition, the cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system for this invention comprises of a drive set (38) and also consists of a drive shaft (39) which is mounted to the centrifugal tank (15) with screws (20) and a pulley (40) by a power source using a motor or engine (41 ) which transmits the power to the drive shaft by the passing belt (42) to drive the centrifugal tank (15).

The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system for this invention has the operation process as following.

First, the cassava tubers are prepared for cutting into lines or square bars. The cassava cutting machine with a centrifugal force two blade system for this invention is then operated. After that the prepared cassava tubers are poured into the container (2) and the centrifugal tank (15) will move the cassava tubers toward the paddles (19) which sweep the cassava tubers toward the cutting blade sets (21 ) and the shearing blade sets (28). The cutting blade sets (21 ) will cut the cassava tubers and the shearing blade sets will shear the cassava tubers in the same time. Finally, cassava tubers are cut into lines and square bars, long or short, large or small and thick or thin as needed.
