Abstract:
Provided is a cassette having a dual-layer structure that can suppress a load applied to a printing tape that is in the process of shifting from a first layer to a second layer. A cassette 10 is provided with: a printing tape roll 26 that is arranged in a first layer (tape case 20); a head space that is arranged in a second layer (ribbon case 21); and a conveyance path HK for a printing tape 22 that ranges from the printing tape roll 26 to the head space (recessed part 99) via an opening at a boundary between the first layer and the second layer. In the conveyance path HK, a shifting path IK that ranges from a position IS at which shifting from the first layer to the second layer is started to a position IF at which the shifting from the first layer to the second layer is finished is provided over a half cycle or more about a first rotation central line C1 of the printing tape roll 26. Therefore, a load applied to the printing tape 22 that is in the process of shifting from the first layer to the second layer is suppressed.
