Abstract:
The present invention is a casting module (20) comprising a mold mechanism (30) consisting of a lower mold part (32) and an upper mold part (31) which close in accordance with a mold axis (k), lateral mold parts (34) connected onto one each lateral profiles (35) on the two sides of said lower mold part (32) and said upper mold part (31), and locking elements (33) which fix the lower mold part (32) and the upper mold part (31) by means of placing to said lateral profiles (35), characterized by comprising adjustment plates (40) connected onto the lateral profile (35) and which change the positions, where the locking elements (33) are placed on the lateral profile (35), at an amount equal to a height difference (h) in the downward or upward direction in order to change the distance of the lower mold part (32) and/or the upper mold part (31) with respect to the mold axis (k) in a manner allowing operation by means of mold mechanisms (30) with different height.

CLAIMS

1. A casting module (20) comprising a mold mechanism (30) consisting of a lower mold part (32) and an upper mold part (31 ) which close in accordance with a mold axis (k), lateral mold parts (34) connected onto one each lateral profiles (35) on the two sides of said lower mold part (32) and said upper mold part (31 ), and locking elements (33) which fix the lower mold part (32) and the upper mold part (31 ) by means of placing to said lateral profiles (35), characterized by comprising adjustment plates (40) connected onto the lateral profile (35) and which change the positions, where the locking elements (33) are placed on the lateral profile (35), at an amount equal to a height difference (h) in the downward or upward direction in order to change the distance of the lower mold part (32) and/or the upper mold part (31 ) with respect to the mold axis (k) in a manner allowing operation by means of mold mechanisms (30) with different height.

2. A casting module (20) according to claim 1 , wherein a pin housing (41 ) is provided wherein the pin (331 ) of the locking element (33) is placed and embodied on said adjustment plate (40). 3. A casting module (20) according to claim 1 , wherein said adjustment plate (40) comprises assembly bolts (42) in order to connect the lateral profile (35) and the adjustment plate (40).

4. A casting module (20) according to claim 1 or 2, wherein in order to obtain said height difference (h), the adjustment plates (40) are assembled by means of turning such that the position of said pin housing (41 ) changes.

5. A casting module (20) according to claim 1 , wherein the adjustment plates (40) are changeable in order to obtain said height difference (h).

Description:
A CASTING MODULE WITH A CHANGEABLE CASTING MECHANISM TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to a casting module which provides operation with casting mechanisms of different height in order to provide production of different types of water- closet models in casting machines where products like washbasin, water-closet, etc. are prepared.

PRIOR ART

In casting machines used in production of products like water-closet, washbasin, etc. , there are pluralities of casting modules provided side by side. Every casting module can operate as a casting machine in a stand-alone manner. A mold mechanism is provided in each casting module, and forming of these water-closets is provided by means of these mold mechanisms. Mold mechanisms are produced by using different molds in accordance with the water-closet being suspension type or wall type. Or while the type of water-closet does not change, the number of mold parts forming the water-closet may change. While the widths of the water-closet molds in different types are at the same width values, their heights may have different values.

In order to provide production of different water-closets, the mold mechanism where the molds are provided shall be removed and the mold shall be changed. This is a time consuming process which decelerates production. At the same time, this process also increases labor durations and costs. A mold changing system, developed for use in similar applications, has been given in US20040751 19. In accordance with said application, the change of the mold required for a different type of production is provided by means of a mechanism which realizes axial rotational movement. The mechanism given in the related application does not include an embodiment which is suitable for realizing the required mold changes. Another application has been given in GB1389619, and an embodiment is provided comprising telescopic feet which provide adjustment of the heights of molds. However, this application is not specifically related to water-closet production and it cannot provide a structure which is compliant to water-closet molds. As a result, because of all of the abovementioned problems, an improvement is required in the related technical field.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a casting module related to casting machine which provides realization of different types of water-closet production by changing the heights of the molds in the mold mechanism, for eliminating the above mentioned disadvantages and for bringing new advantages to the related technical field.

The main object of the present invention is to provide a casting module which provides water-closet production in different type without needing mold change.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a casting module developed for realizing different type of production simultaneously in a casting machine.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a casting module which provides elimination of mold changing durations and reduction of labor costs. In order to realize all of the abovementioned objects and the objects which are to be deducted from the detailed description below, the present invention is a casting module comprising a mold mechanism consisting of a lower mold part and an upper mold part which close in accordance with a mold axis, lateral mold parts connected onto one each lateral profiles on the two sides of said lower mold part and said upper mold part, and locking elements which fix the lower mold part and the upper mold part by means of placing to said lateral profiles. Accordingly, said casting module is characterized by comprising adjustment plates connected onto the lateral profile and which change the positions, where the locking elements are placed on the lateral profile, at an amount equal to a height difference in the downward or upward direction in order to change the distance of the lower mold part and/or the upper mold part with respect to the mold axis in a manner allowing operation by means of mold mechanisms with different height.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a pin housing is provided wherein the pin of the locking element is placed and embodied on said adjustment plate.

In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, said adjustment plate comprises assembly bolts in order to connect the lateral profile and the adjustment plate. In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, in order to obtain said height difference, the adjustment plates are assembled by means of turning such that the position of said pin housing changes. In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the adjustment plates are changeable in order to obtain said height difference.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In this detailed description, the subject matter casting module (20) related to the casting machine (10) is explained with references to examples without forming any restrictive effect only in order to make the subject more understandable.

The casting machine (10) whose general view is given in Figure 1 consists of a chassis (1 1 ) and pluralities of casting modules (20) provided side by side in said chassis (10). Said casting modules (20) comprise mold mechanisms (30) and the movement of said mold mechanisms (30) is provided by means of a drive mechanism (21 ) related to every casting module (20). The movements provided by said drive mechanisms (21 ) move the mold mechanisms (30) in an orthogonal movement guide (12) and they move the casting modules (20) in a horizontal movement guide (13) provided at the chassis (1 1 ). By means of these processes, the mold mechanism (30) is closed and the casting module (20) becomes ready for casting. In accordance with the water-closet type to be produced in the casting machine (10), the mold mechanism (30) may comprise 3, 4 or 5 mold parts. In Figure 2 and 3, a mold mechanism (30) comprising 4 part mold has been shown and different mold mechanisms (30) can be obtained by means of changing or removing the molds on the same module (20). With reference to the casting module (20) given in this direction, the mold mechanism (30) comprises an upper mold part (31 ), a lower mold part (32) positioned under said upper mold part (31 ), and lateral mold parts (34) provided on the two sides of the upper mold part (31 ). The upper mold part (31 ) is connected to an upper intermediate plate (31 1 ) and said upper intermediate plate (31 1 ) is connected to an upper plate (312) which fixes the upper mold part (31 ) in the casting module (20). The lower mold part (32) is connected to a lower intermediate plate (321 ) and said lower intermediate plate (321 ) is connected to a lower plate (322) which fixes the lower mold part (32) in the casting module (20). Said lateral mold parts (34) are connected onto lateral profiles (35) which form the lateral edges of the casting module (20) through a lateral intermediate plate (341 ). There are two lock elements (33) provided side by side on the lateral edges of said lower plate (322) and said upper plate (312). Inside said lock elements (33), the lower plate (322) and the upper plate (312) and thus the lower mold part (32) and the upper mold part (31 ) are fixed inside the casting module (20) by means of placing to said lateral profiles (35). The lateral profile (35) is provided at the two sides of the casting module (20) and it comprises a guide movement part (351 ) seated to the horizontal movement guide (13). The lateral profile (35) comprises an upper connection region (352), a lateral connection region (353) and a lower connection region (354) respectively defined at the continuation of each other. There are assembly holes (355) which are embodied at said lateral connection region (353) and the connection of the lateral mold parts (34) to the lateral profile (35) through said lateral intermediate plates (341 ) is realized through said assembly holes (355). The upper plate (312) is locked to said upper connection region (352) and the lower plate (322) is locked to said lower connection region (354) by means of lock elements (33). This locking is provided by means of adjustment plates (40) positioned in the upper connection region (352) and in the lower connection region (354).

Said adjustment plates (40) comprise a pin housing (41 ). Positioning of the adjustment plates (40) onto the lateral profile (35) is provided by means of assembly bolts (42) through the four corners thereof. Providing locking by means of adjustment plates (40) is realized by means of placement of said pins (331 ) of the locking elements (33) to said pin housings (41 ). While the lateral mold parts (34) are fixed in the mold mechanisms (30), production of different products becomes possible by means of change of the lower mold part (32) and the upper mold part (31 ). In different mold mechanisms (30), the widths of the lower mold part (32) and the upper mold part (31 ) are at the same value but the heights thereof are variable. In case molds having different heights will be worked on the same casting module (20), in order to obtain the height difference between the molds, the position, where the upper plate (31 ) and the lower plate (32) are locked on the lateral profiles (35), shall slide downwardly or upwardly in the orthogonal direction. This condition is obtained by means of changing the position of the adjustment plates (40) in a manner providing the desired height difference (h). The change of the position of the adjustment plates (40) is realized by turning the adjustment plates (40) in a manner providing changing of the distance of the pin housing (41 ) with respect to the mold axis (k) and by assembling thereof onto the lateral profile (35).

An application realized in this manner can be realized both for the upper connection region (352) and for the lower connection region (354). The adjustment plate (40) can be used by means of turning, and moreover, operation with different molds becomes possible by means of connecting the adjustment plates (40), accommodating the pin housing (41 ) embodied at a different position thereon, to the lateral profile (35). Adjustment plates (40) with the same type can be used in all casting modules (20) or adjustment plates (40) with different types can also be used. By means of this option, mold mechanisms (30) with different heights can be provided in the casting modules (20) arranged side by side, and different product output can be provided through the same casting machine (10). The studies realized in this manner allow production directly according to the orders, and they eliminate stocking requirement. The protection scope of the present invention is set forth in the annexed Claims and cannot be restricted to the illustrative disclosures given above, under the detailed description. It is because a person skilled in the relevant art can obviously produce similar embodiments under the light of the foregoing disclosures, without departing from the main principles of the present invention.
