Abstract:
A catalyst which contains molybdenum, bismuth and cobalt as essential components and has such a property that, with respect to the intensity of a peak at 2θ = 25.3 ± 0.2° in an X-ray diffraction pattern obtained using CuKα line as an X-ray source, the change rate (Q1) per a reaction time of 1000 hours, which is expressed by formulae (1) to (4), is 16 or less. (1) Q1 = {(U1/F1-1)×100}/T×1000 (2) F1 = (value of intensity of peak of the catalyst at 2θ = 25.3 ± 0.2° before oxidation reaction)÷(value of intensity of peak of the catalyst at 2θ = 26.5 ± 0.2° before oxidation reaction)×100 (3) U1 = (value of intensity of peak of the catalyst at 2θ = 25.3 ± 0.2° after oxidation reaction)÷(value of intensity of peak of the catalyst at 2θ = 26.5 ± 0.2° after oxidation reaction)×100 (4) T = time for carrying out oxidation reaction (hr)
