A catalyst containing molybdenum, copper and vanadium as essential components, in which the hydrogen consumption amount (L) at a hydrogen consumption peak appearing in a range of 300°C to 500°C inclusive in a TPR (temperature-programmed reduction) spectrum obtained by a temperature-programmed reduction measurement is 1.30 to 10.00 mmol/g inclusive.
