Abstract:
The present invention aims to provide a method for producing cellulose acetate fiber that has excellent strength and can be spun at high speed, even when the cellulose acetate fiber has low fineness. This cellulose acetate fiber production method has: a step in which cellulose acetate and a plasticizer are dissolved in a solvent and a spinning stock solution is prepared; and a step in which the obtained spinning stock solution is spun using a dry spinning method. The filament denier of the cellulose acetate fiber is less than 75 denier/9,000 m. The plasticizer has a viscosity of no more than 150,000 mPa ·s at atmospheric pressure and 25°C.
