Abstract:
A cellulose dope comprising an aqueous caustic soda solution and a cellulose dissolved in the solution, characterized in that the concentration of caustic soda (C¿Na?) is 6.5 to 11 wt.%, the cellulose content (C¿C?) is 4 to 12 wt.%, and zero-shear viscosity of the cellulose dope ($g(h)¿0?), the cellulose content (C¿C?), and the viscosity-average degree of polymerization of the cellulose satisfy the following relationship (1): $g(h)¿0? = kC¿C??m¿ $m(x) DP¿C??p¿. In the relationship, $g(h)¿0? represents zero-shear viscosity of the cellulose dope (mPa.s); C¿C? represents cellulose content of the cellulose dope (wt.%) DP¿C? represents viscosity-average degree of polymerization of the cellulose in cellulose dope; K = 3.9 $m(x) 10?-11¿; 5 $m(F) m $m(F) 7; and 3 $m(F) p $m(F) 4.
