Disclosed in the present invention is a center lock for a folding tent, comprising a center lock rod, an upper lock disk fixedly arranged at one end of the center lock rod, and a lower lock disk assembly detachably connected to the other end of the center lock rod. An elastic locking piece and an unlocking mechanism for controlling closure of the elastic locking piece are arranged in the lower lock disk assembly; the elastic locking piece comprises an integrally arranged arc-shaped part and two horizontal locking rods extending inwards from a notch of the arc-shaped part; the lower end of the center locking rod is arranged with a locking groove used in concert with the locking rods and a clamping and locking part located at the lower end of the locking groove. The present invention is simple in structure, easy to implement, convenient and fast to produce and mount, and low in cost; furthermore, the center lock is easy to operate, capable of completing a folding operation only by one-step push-up and pull-down or screw, quite convenient to use, and convenient to apply and popularize.
