Abstract:
In a centering mechanism (1) and a paper-sheet handling device (100) provided with the centering mechanism (1), a centering part (10) conveys a paper sheet (B) while holding the same, and inclines with respect to the conveyance direction (D) of the paper sheet (B) to thereby perform centering of the position of the paper sheet (B) in the width direction (W) orthogonal to the conveyance direction (D). Further, a downstream-side conveyance part (30) receives the paper sheet (B) from the centering part (10) in a state where the paper sheet (B) is held by the centering part (10), and conveys the paper sheet (B) while holding the paper sheet (B) with a pinching pressure (P3>pinching pressure P1 of the centering part) stronger than that of the centering part (10).
