Abstract:
A centrifugal blower (1) comprises: a fan (30) that blows radially outward of the fan axial center; a casing (50) that houses the fan; and a separation pipe (70) for guiding a first fluid and a second fluid to the fan in a manner in which said first fluid and said second fluid are separated to inside and outside. In the casing, an intake aperture forming section (60) that forms an air intake aperture (61) is provided to one side in the axial direction. The separation pipe includes a pipe upper end section (71) that forms an air inlet (710) through which air is made to flow into the inside of the separation pipe. The pipe upper end section is positioned on one side in the axial direction, in relation to the intake aperture forming section, so as to partially overlap with the intake aperture in the axial direction. A rib (65) that protrudes toward one side in the axial direction is provided to an intake aperture circumferential edge portion of the intake aperture forming section. In the intake aperture circumferential edge portion, among an overlapping region (61C) that overlaps with the pipe upper end section in the axial direction and a non-overlapping region (61D) that does not overlap with the pipe upper end section in the axial direction, the rib is disproportionately provided more in the non-overlapping region.In the intake aperture circumferential edge portion, among an overlapping region (61C) that overlaps with the pipe upper end section in the axial direction and a non-overlapping region (61D) that does not overlap with the pipe upper end section in the axial direction, the rib is disproportionately provided more in the non-overlapping region.
