Claims:
CLAIMS

1. A ceramic sanitary ware (1) where the sound generated by the collision of the fluids and/or by the collision of the fluid with the surface of said ceramic sanitary ware (1) is enabled to be absorbed characterized in that the ceramic sanitary ware comprises at least one absorbing material (4).

2. A ceramic sanitary ware (1) according to Claim 1 characterized in that the absorbing material (4) is positioned between the walls (2) of the ceramic sanitary ware (1).

3. A ceramic sanitary ware (1) according to Claim 2 characterized in that the absorbing material (4) is positioned in the cells (3) between the walls (2) of the ceramic sanitary ware (1).

4. A ceramic sanitary ware (1) according to Claim 3 characterized in that said cell (3) is a cell (3) formed between the body structures with double walls (2) as a result of the removal of the mud that remains in liquid state during the ceramic pouring process.

5. A ceramic sanitary ware (1) according to Claim 3 or 4 characterized in that the absorbing material (4) is filled in the cells (3) via the absorbing material filling point (5).

6. A ceramic sanitary ware (1) according to Claim 5 characterized in that said absorbing material filling point (5) is a discharge hole enabling the removal of the mud that remains in liquid state during the ceramic pouring process.

7. A ceramic sanitary ware (1) according to Claim 1 characterized in that the absorbing material (4) is polystyrene or polyurethane foam.

8. A ceramic sanitary ware (1) according to Claim 1 characterized in that the absorbing material (4) has a fireproof character.

9. A ceramic sanitary ware (1) according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that said ceramic sanitary ware (1) is a toilet.

10. A manufacturing method for a ceramic sanitary ware (1) where the sound generated by the collision of the fluids and/or by the collision of the fluid with the surface of said ceramic sanitary ware (1) is enabled to be absorbed characterized in that the absorbing material (4) is positioned between the walls (2) of the ceramic sanitary ware (1).

11. A manufacturing method for a ceramic sanitary ware (1) according to Claim 10 characterized in that the absorbing material (4) is positioned in the cells (3) located between the walls (2) of the ceramic sanitary ware (1).

12. A manufacturing method for a ceramic sanitary ware (1) according to Claim 11 characterized in that the absorbing material (4) is filled in the cells (3) after the process steps

5 of pouring the ceramic mud into the mold, waiting for the mud to harden, removing the mud that remains in liquid state from the mold, and firing the ceramic.

13. A manufacturing method for a ceramic sanitary ware (1) according to Claim 11 characterized in that the absorbing material (4) is filled in the cells (3) via the absorbing material filling point (5).

CERAMIC SANITARY WARE WHERE THE FLUID SOUND IS ABSORBED AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR THE SAME

Subject of the Invention

The invention relates to a ceramic sanitary ware where the sound generated by the collision of the fluids and/or by the collision of the fluid with the surface of said ceramic sanitary ware during the use of said ceramic sanitary ware and during the flushing of ceramic sanitary ware following the use thereof is enabled to be absorbed, and to a manufacturing method for said ceramic sanitary ware.

State of the Art

Today, the ceramic sanitary ware are frequently preferred in the spaces like bathrooms, toilet rooms and kitchens. As necessitated by their intended use, the ceramic sanitary ware are in a state of continuous contact with water. During their use as well as during their flushing following the use, undesirable sounds are generated in the ceramic sanitary ware that are in contact with water and/or various other fluids, as a result of the collision between water and other fluids and as a result of the collision of water and other fluids with the surface of the ceramic sanitary ware.

It is necessary to flush the toilets after each use. For this purpose, the flushing systems are employed. According to the state of the art, the fluid to be used for flushing is most of the time stored in a flush tank, and upon the activation of the flushing system by a user, the flow of said stored fluid into the toilet takes place, thereby enabling the ceramic sanitary ware to be cleaned. The fluid flowing into the toilet bowl in a pressurized manner generates sound associated with the collisions. This sound, which is louder than the ambient noise, turns into a disturbing noise.

Various efforts are made in the state of the art for the purpose of reducing the noise resulting from the flushing systems. Minimizing the collision through the distribution of water in different directions into the toilet bowl and minimizing the collision through the distribution of water in a single direction into the toilet bowl are some of such efforts. However, all these efforts necessitate certain structural changes on the toilet surface and/or necessitate the use of additional components and apparatus. This complicates the production as well as increasing the costs.

Another condition causing noise in the wall-hung toilets is that the toilet conducts the noise caused by the collisions of water to the walls where it is fixed and thus to the adjacent rooms. It is possible to dispose the insulation materials during the mounting between the mounting surface and the toilet for the purpose of solving this problem; however, this practice, which involves the material positioned between the mounting surface and the toilet and impairing the aesthetic appearance as a result of being visible from the outside, is not preferred.

With the invention, the noise resulting from the sound generated by the fluid collisions is minimized by way of filling with an absorbing material the cells and voids formed due to the nature of the manufacturing process of the ceramic sanitary ware, without any change being necessary in the external form, shape and manufacturing process of the toilet and without any extra apparatus or component being used. of the Invention

An object of the invention is to develop a ceramic sanitary ware where the conduction of the sound caused by the fluid collisions into the ambience is minimized, and a manufacturing method for said ceramic sanitary ware.

Another object of the invention is to develop a ceramic sanitary ware, which is manufactured on the existing production line without modifying the existing manufacturing process and the level of noise emitted by which to the ambience is minimized, and a manufacturing method for said ceramic sanitary ware.

Another object of the invention is to develop a ceramic sanitary ware, which contains an absorbing material in the cells located on the inner surface thereof and the level of noise emitted by which to the ambience is minimized, and a manufacturing method for said ceramic sanitary ware.

The invention relates to a ceramic sanitary ware (1) where the sound generated by the collision of the fluids and/or by the collision of the fluid with the surface of said ceramic sanitary ware (1) during the use of said ceramic sanitary ware (1) and during the flushing of ceramic sanitary ware (1) following the use thereof is enabled to be absorbed, and to a manufacturing method for said ceramic sanitary ware (1). More particularly, the invention relates to a ceramic sanitary ware (1) where the conduction of the sound caused by the fluid collisions into the ambience is minimized by way of filling the hollow cell (3), which is formed between the walls (2) of the ceramic sanitary ware (1) due to the nature of the manufacturing process for said ceramic sanitary ware (1), with an absorbing material (4), and to a manufacturing method for said ceramic sanitary ware (1).

The invention is a ceramic sanitary ware (1) containing at least one absorbing material (4). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the ceramic sanitary ware (1) is a ceramic sanitary ware (1) in which the sound of fluid collision is absorbed, wherein an absorbing material (4) is positioned between the walls (2) of said ceramic sanitary ware (1), preferably in the cells (3) between the walls (2) of said ceramic sanitary ware (1). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, said ceramic sanitary ware (1) is a toilet.

The ceramic sanitary ware (1), in particular the toilets, are manufactured most of the time using the plaster molds. The ceramic mud is poured into a plaster mold and the mud hardens as a result of the plaster mold absorbing the water content of the mud at the positions near said mold. On the other hand, the mud in the zones away from the mold does not harden as it remains aqueous and this mud in liquid state is removed from the product by inverting the mold. In this commonly employed manufacturing method, some regions of the ceramic sanitary ware (1) have a single wall (1) while some other regions of the same have double walls (2). A cell (3) forms between the body structures with double walls (2). All the ceramic sanitary ware (1) necessarily have a mud discharge hole so that the mud inside these cells (3) may be discharged. The mud that does not harden is discharged via this discharge hole as a result of inversion of the mold. This hole is not covered, in order to prevent the air present in the cell (3) from expanding to result in cracking of the ceramic sanitary ware (1) during the firing.

During the flushing process following the use of a toilet, certain amount of fluid at a certain height is discharged into the toilet bowl as a result of the triggering of the flushing system. The flushing fluid that collides with the fluid already present within the toilet bowl causes the generation of a high level of noise. In other words, a noise is generated as a result of the collision of the fluid with the surface and with other fluids and this noise propagates into the ambience through air and due to vibration of the toilet. The cells (3) formed as a result of the manufacturing method for the ceramic sanitary ware (1) lead to an increase in said noise. More particularly, small vibrations may cause louder noises due to the resonances developed inside said cells (3). In the ceramic sanitary ware (1) according to the invention, said cells (3) are filled with an absorbing material (4); as a result, both the vibration of the ceramic sanitary ware (1) is reduced by way of absorption and the conduction of the vibrations through the air inside the cells (3) is precluded due to the fact that said cells (3) are filled with the absorbing material (4).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, said absorbing material (4) is filled in the cells (3) via the discharge hole that enables the mud in liquid state to be discharged during the production of the ceramic sanitary ware (1), i.e. via the absorbing material filling point (5).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, said absorbing material (4) is polystyrene or polyurethane foam. In another embodiment of the invention, the absorbing material (4) has a fireproof character.

In the manufacturing method according to the invention for the ceramic sanitary ware (1) where the fluid collusion sound is absorbed, the absorbing material (4) is positioned between the walls (2) of the ceramic sanitary ware (1), preferably in the cells (3) located between the walls (2) of the ceramic sanitary ware (1).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the absorbing material (4) is filled in the cells (3) and preferably allowed to cure, after the process steps of pouring the ceramic mud into the mold, waiting for the mud to harden, removing the mud that remains in liquid state from the mold and firing the ceramic. The absorbing material (4) is filled in the cells (3) preferably via the absorbing material filling point (5).

The method according to the invention,

• does not affect the external appearance and bowl structure of the ceramic sanitary ware (1);

• is not sensitive to the manufacturing defects;

• does not result in any extra cost except for the application of the absorbing material (4);

• is able to be employed together with other methods of noise reduction; in other words, is applicable to all kinds of ceramic sanitary ware (1);

• also prevents the bleeding resulting from the cooling of the surface by the cold fluid, by contributing to the heat insulation; and

• positively affects the strength due to the filling of the voids inside the ceramic sanitary ware (1).

Accordingly, the ceramic sanitary ware (1) manufactured with the method according to the invention will have the superior properties mentioned above.
