Title:
CHAIN-STITCH SEWING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/057411
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A chain-stitch sewing machine, wherein a looper part (5) disposed under a needle plate (8) is formed by arranging a plurality of loopers (18) along a curved movement route. The looper part comprises moving mechanisms (13, 17, 19, 28) selectively positioning one of the loopers (18) at a specified needle location position by moving the plurality of loopers (18) along the curved movement route. A chain stitching is performed by the association of a reciprocatingly driven crochet needle (4) with the selected looper (18). The looper (5) is so formed that one end part including the needle location position is projected and a cylindrical sewn object can be accessed from the one end part. For example, the curved movement route is formed in a U-shape.
