Abstract:
Disclosed are a channel indication sending method, a channel scanning method, and a device. The sending method comprises: a first access point receiving channel information from a second access point, the channel information indicating that an operation channel of the second access point is a first channel and indicating whether a channel availability check (CAC) by the second access point on the first channel is successful, and the first channel being a dynamic frequency selection (DFS) channel; and the first access point sending, on a second channel, a WLAN frame to a station associated with the first access point, the WLAN frame comprising indication of the first channel and indication of whether the CAC by the second access point on the first channel was successful. The method has the first access point send indication of whether the CAC is successful to a station associated therewith, such that the station only switches to the DFS channel of the second access point if the CAC of the second access point is determined to have been successfully completed, thereby guaranteeing the scanning success rate of the station on the DFS channel to be switched to.
