Abstract:
A chip comprising a multiply–accumulate module, a terminal, and a control method, pertaining to the field of chips. The chip comprises a multiply-accumulate module comprising a general fixed-point unit, a dedicated floating-point unit, and an output selection unit. The general fixed-point unit and the dedicated floating-point unit are connected to the output selection unit. The general fixed-point unit is further connected to the dedicated floating-point unit, and the general fixed-point unit and the dedicated floating-point unit share a set of multipliers. In the invention, the fixed-point arithmetic computation and floating-point arithmetic computation are integrated into one circuit in the multiply-accumulate module of the chip, such that the multiply-accumulate module achieves both fixed-point arithmetic computation and floating-point arithmetic computation in the one circuit; and the multipliers are shared between a fixed-point arithmetic unit and a floating-point arithmetic unit to reduce the total number of devices used in the chip, thereby reducing the area occupied by the fixed-point arithmetic unit and the floating-point arithmetic unit in the chip and computational power consumption.
