Abstract:

Provided is a circuit protection component with an external electrical test point. The circuit protection component includes a copper-clad laminate, a protective element with a positive temperature effect of resistance, a conductive component, and an electrical test point, wherein the protective element with a positive temperature effect of resistance is placed inside the copper-clad laminate and is formed by tightly clamping, between two metal electrode pads (210a, 210b, 310a, 310b, 410a, 410b), polymer matrix conductive composite layers (220, 320, 420); the polymer matrix conductive composite layers (220, 320, 420) include at least one polymer substrate and at least one kind of conductive powder with resistivity lower than 100 μΩ.cm; a particle size distribution range of the conductive powder is between 0.1 μm and 50 μm; the conductive component enables the protective element with a positive temperature effect of resistance to be electrically connected to a protected circuit; and the electrical characteristics of the protective element with a positive temperature effect of resistance can be detected by means of the electrical test point. The circuit protection component can save on a mounting space of a circuit protection element, and has good detectability and environment reliability.
