Abstract:
[Problem] Provided is an earring in which the load to which a metal plate is subjected is applied to the part of a mounting base which intersects with the edge of the recessed groove or notch, to obtain a large clamping force. [Solution] This clamping structure for jewelry is an earring comprising a principal decorative body and an auxiliary decorative body, a pair of mounting legs and a mounting base which is clamped between the mounting legs are formed on the edge parts of the principal decorative body and auxiliary decorative body, and one or more elastic metal plates are interposed between the pair of mounting legs and the mounting base, rotatably attaching these elements to one another, said axial part being crimped together with the metal plate to form the earring. The mounting base has, formed on the outer periphery thereof, a recessed groove or a notch, and when the mounting leg and mounting base formed on the principal decorative bodies on one hand and the auxiliary decorative body on the other hand are rotated relative to one another, the metal plate flexes towards the interior of the recessed groove or notch in the mounting base, and the flexed portion engages with the edge of the recessed groove or notch in the mounting base.
