Abstract:
Disclosed are a cleaning robot and a control method therefor. The method comprises: a chassis; a driving system (140); an energy storage unit, which is supported by the chassis and comprises at least one charging contact piece, wherein the charging contact piece slightly extends out of a plane of the chassis, and the energy storage unit is configured to be charged according to a preset quantity when a robot is located at a charging station; and a control system (130), which is arranged on a main circuit board inside a cleaning robot and comprises a non-transitory memory and a processor, wherein the control system is configured to control, according to an area to be cleaned and a total power consumption factor, the energy storage unit to be charged according to the preset quantity. In this way, the current remaining area to be cleaned can be automatically calculated according to a historical cleaning map record, and an electrical quantity, which recharging needs to reach, is calculated according to a cleaned area. The comprehensive cleaning efficiency can be greatly improved, and the user experience can be improved.
