Abstract:
The present invention discloses a clock processing device and method for an optical transport network (OTN) tributary board, relating to the technical field of optical communication applications. A Framer chip of the device comprises an SFP module and an 8K clock processing module connected to the SFP module. The 8K clock processing module can extract the clock from a user-designated customer service port to a clock unit of a system, monitor the customer service port in real time when the OTN tributary board is used as a clock source, output a level interrupt signal to an FPGA processing module when a fault alarm is detected, and send a clock source switching signal to the clock unit of the system. After receiving the level interrupt signal, the FPGA processing module of the device closes a clock extraction channel, and the clock unit of the system in turn switches the clock source after receiving the clock source switching signal. The present invention can switch a clock source in a timely manner when the clock source is faulty or lost, and can respond to faults within 1 ms, satisfying system TIE requirements and providing a good user experience.
