Abstract:
Provided is a clocking circuit comprising a resistance element and a capacitance element, wherein time accuracy is improved. A switch selects, in accordance with a selection signal, any of a plurality of passive elements which have mutually different impedances, and then supplies current. A comparator compares a first voltage and a second voltage generated in the passive element selected from among the plurality of passive elements, and then outputs the comparison results as a periodic signal. An initialization unit initializes the first or second voltage each time the periodic signal changes to a prescribed value. A counter circuit counts a discrete value in synchronization with the periodic signal, and outputs such value as a timer value. A control circuit changes the supply destination of the current using the selection signal, when the timer value indicates a prescribed switching time.
