Abstract:
According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided are a clothing treatment device and a method for controlling same, the clothing treatment device comprising: a tub for accommodating a washing water; a drum which is rotatably provided inside the tub and of which a rotating shaft is vertical to the ground; a sub-drum which is detachably coupled to the inner peripheral surface of the drum and in which washing of the laundry is performed separately from the drum; an information tag which is provided on the sub-drum and comprises information relating to laundry; a reading unit for obtaining information relating to laundry from the information tag; and a control unit for determining a washing course, which is performed by means of the sub-drum, by means of the information obtained by the reading unit.
