Abstract:
Provided are: a clutch mechanism which is capable of being arranged even in a narrow arrangement space, and which is capable of directly switching the connection/disconnection state of a clutch; and a motor unit for washing machines which has such a clutch mechanism accommodated therein. The clutch mechanism is characterized by being provided with: a second rotational body which is arranged on the same axis as a first rotational body rotationally driven by a first motor, and which is capable of engaging with the first rotational body; and a lift mechanism which displaces the second rotational body in the axial direction to switch between engagement with and separation from the first rotational body. The clutch mechanism is further characterized in that: the lift mechanism is provided with a frame rotation mechanism for rotating a frame member; and the frame rotation mechanism is provided with a second motor capable of rotating in both directions, a worm gear, a worm wheel, a lead screw, and a nut. The motor unit for washing machines is provided with said clutch mechanism.
