Abstract:
A manufacturing system is provided which can convert from carbon dioxide and hydrogen to a methanol and dimethyl ether mixture with high yield. In this CO2 conversion device, for reacting CO2 and hydrogen as raw materials and converting to methanol or dimethyl ether, a methanol synthesis catalyst and a methanol conversion catalyst are arranged separated by a separation membrane, methanol and water are generated from the CO2 and hydrogen by means of the methanol synthesis catalyst arranged on the high-pressure side of the separation membrane, and subsequently, from the reaction system that includes CO2 and hydrogen, the generated methanol and water are selectively permeated through the separation membrane, and a mixture of methanol, dimethyl ether and water is obtained by means of the methanol conversion catalyst arranged on the low pressure side of the separation membrane.
