Abstract:
The present invention is a coating composition characterized by being an oil-in-water emulsion containing a fluororesin, hydrophobic silica particles, a water-insoluble solvent, a volatile alcohol and water. In addition, the present invention is a coating composition production method characterized by including a step of preparing a first agent by mixing a fluororesin, hydrophobic silica particles and a water-insoluble solvent and a step of carrying out dispersion treatment by blending a volatile alcohol and water with the first agent. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a coating composition which is easy to handle and which gives a coating film having excellent water repellency, and a method for producing same.
