Abstract:

On the outer circumferential surface of an inside twist jig (26) corresponding to the innermost layer, a plurality of first housing recessed portions (38a) and a plurality of second housing recessed portions (38b) are formed at intervals in the circumferential direction, said first housing recessed portions (38a) housing the end portion (12d) of a slot insertion portion (12a) of a normal coil segment (12), said second housing recessed portions (38b) housing the end portion (14d) of a tall slot insertion portion (14b) of a deformed coil segment (14). In a state in which the end portion (14d) of the tall slot insertion portion (14b) before being twisted is inserted into the second housing recessed portions (38b), the first housing recessed portions (38a) is at a position shifted in the circumferential direction with respect to the end portion (12d) to be housed. The inside twist jig (26) is rotated in this state to perform a primary twist, and then the end portion (12d) of the normal coil segment (12) is further inserted into the first housing recessed portions (38a) to perform a secondary twist by a rotation amount greater than that of the primary twist.
